Starting his property career in 2001, Daniel is now an influential figure in Sydney’s Commercial and Industrial property markets.
After a successful start in residential real estate, he began his commercial real estate career at CBRE in 2005, and was the head of the Commercial Division in the South Sydney Office for nine years. In 2013, Daniel was approached by Knight Frank to run their South Sydney division and within 18 months, he had doubled the existing team’s size and revenue.
In June 2016, Daniel decided to open his own agency and bought the LJ Hooker Commercial South Sydney franchise.
Within 18 months of opening the office, they won the Best Commercial Agency (Small) of 2017 at the New South Wales Real Estate Institute Awards, and have been finalists in 2018 and 2020. To win this award and be finalists is confirmation that the fun and professional team culture the business provides, allows for excellent service to all their clients. In 2019, Daniel purchased his second office, which was the largest and most successful Commercial Office in the Inner West. Both the South Sydney and Inner West office provide excellent coverage to our clients with a sales and leasing team of 14 full time sales and leasing agents, one of the largest and most active teams in Sydney.
During his career Daniel has specialised in commercial leasing and investment sales, and residential site sales, and has also leased and sold major industrial and retail spaces. Daniel is often called for comment by journalists from the SMH, AFR and has been interviewed and featured on the cover of the REINSW journal and many other leading industry podcasts, which is testament to his market leading knowledge, experience and track record.

Thank you for putting together this sale. The price Daniel achieved on this deal exceeded my already lofty expectations and it was a fantastic result being circa $30,000,000. In our dealings, i found Daniel to always be professional, prompt and if he said he would do something, you did it! Market knowledge, persistence and aggressiveness are all qualities Daniel has.
This was a sale of great significance to the Society, and we were extremely pleased with the result, being well in excess of the reserve. We put this down in great part to Daniels expertise and effort. One matter of great significance was the way Daniel handled the difficult issues associated with this property. Daniel handled these matters with faultless professionalism, combining sound ethics with commercial understanding.
Whilst i never doubted his reputation of being a performer, I was nothing but impressed by his advice, honestly and performance on our project. Dan is a brilliant salesman, but is also direct and was able to deliver on every promise he made. He has passion, drive and determination and i will defiantly use him again. More importantly, he loves his job and he has surrounded himself with a dynamic team who are equally as enthusiast as Dan.
We were impressed when Daniel suggested a service station concept for the site and very happy when he introduced Shell / Viva and secured a per-commitment for a long term lease. The rental the site will generate once completed will increase the sites value threefold from the vacant and value we originally discussed. Both Viva and Hungry Jacks are excellent tenants and we are very happy to commence the development with such high calibre anchor tenants. Daniels ability to think outside the square and add value for us is why we continue to deal with him.
In our dealings, Daniel was obviously working for the landlord (your client) but Daniels ability to focus on the overall deal and outcome working with both parties while remaining commercial and realistic is a great asset in a leasing agent. Some clauses in our leases do require some owners to be educated on issues such as potential contamination and remediation and i found Daniel to have a very solid understanding of these terms, which helped get the deal over the line at the end.
Regarding the Sale of 107 Redfern Street, Redfern. I was happy with the end result and was completely surprised when Daniel negotiated a 2 week settlement for me. Initially Daniel was referred to me through business associates and had a very impressive track record of similar commercial sales in the city fringe and south Sydney. Daniel was honest, straight forward and professional when giving advice.
Given the history of the site it was a challenging instruction, and your advice, integrity, professionalism and honesty was first class. The contact terms McDonald's needed to achieve (a short settlement and a high price) were very important to us and we appreciate that you closed the deal and reached our goals with a minimum amount of fuss. We were extremely happy with the end sale result and we look forward to working with you again.
Daniel was understanding of the sensitivities around handling the transaction for us as an owner occupier was greatly appreciated. The communication I received from Daniel during the negotiations was direct, prompt and honest. The price and terms that he negotiated achieved and exceeded our expectations. I would have no hesitation in recommending him as an agent. With a strong knowledge of the property market in the city fringe and south city commercial markets.
I have know Daniel for a number of years now and have regularly engaged with him to assist me with real estate sales negotiations. He has tremendous instinct when it comes to his job. Daniel recently was commissioned by Coles Group Property Developments to acquire a very important piece of commercial real estate. The process involved negotiating with eleven (11) separate owners over a period of a number of months.
